How to clear cookies, cache or temporary internet files?

Clearing your cookies and cache can significantly improve the speed and performance of your browser.

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer that help websites personalize your experience by remembering your preferences (and sometimes login information). Occasionaly, we may recommend that you clear the cookie files from your browser if you are experiencing issues with StoreYa. Here we go:

Internet Explorer 

Clearing cookies:

  1. Click the Tools menu-- if it's not visible, click ALT from your keyboard.
  2. Point to Safety and click Delete browsing history.
  3. Choose the Cookies checkbox.
  4. Click Delete.

Clearing cache:

  1. Click the Tools menu-- if it's not visible, click ALT from your keyboard.
  2. Click Safety.
  3. Click Delete browsing history.
  4. Pick Temporary Internet files and click Delete.

Firefox 2 & 3 (Windows)

Clearing cookies & cache:

  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Pick Clear Recent History.
  3. Under "Time Range to Clear" choose Everything.
  4. Tick the Cookies, Details and Cache checkboxes.
  5. Click Clear Now.

Firefox 2 & 3 (Mac)

Clearing cookies:

  1. Click on the Firefox menu.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Click the Privacy icon.
  4. Click Show Cookies.
  5. Scroll down and click on the folder; or click Remove All Cookies.
  6. Click Remove Cookies.

Clearing cache:

  1. Click the Firefox menu.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Click Advanced.
  4. Click the Network tab.
  5. From the "Offline Storage" section, click Clear Now.
  6. Click OK.

Safari 2 & above for Mac

Clearing cookies:

  1. Click the Safari menu.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Click Privacy.
  4. Click Remove All Website Data or highlight the cookies that contain
  5. Click Remove Now.

Clearing cache:

  1. Click the Safari menu.
  2. Click Empty Cache.
  3. Click Empty.

Google Chrome

The following steps clear both cookies and cache:

  1. Click the wrench icon in the top right corner of the browser window.
  2. Select  the option Clear Browsing Data.
  3. Ensure the Delete Cookies checkbox is ticked.
  4. Click the Clear Browsing Data button.
